Where is the HTTPS cert located?

Howdy,

I'd like to make it so that Firefox doesn't keep warning me about my local IndigoStack cert not being valid by adding it manually to the browser. Where is the cert file located so I can manually import it?

Nice find @PercyDwn 🙂 I guess Firefox needs the cerrtificate authority? If so, that's one step deeper, in ~/.indigo/ssl/mkcert.

Deadpikle thanks for raising the issue. I'll add a todo item to research possible solutions to automate this even for Firefox — it sounds like it should be possible. In the meantime, I guess a support document might help? Do you think people would think to check the docs for such a thing?

On mac os it is located in ~/.indigo/ssl

Indigo yes you're correct, it needs the CA file and importing it worked fine 🙂 If it is possible to automate this that would be even better. I'm not sure why, but (before importing the CA) everytime I re-started my stack in indigo, firefox still complained about the certificate after ignoring the certificate-warning, while safari wasn't.

Regarding the docs: I think it does not harm to have a note where to find the certificates and that they can be added to the browser manually

I think the behaviour you described is because the SSL cert is recreated each time you enable/disable a stack. So Firefox will complain because it's being presented with a new cert, not the cert it was told to ignore previously. Safari, Chrome & friends will also get the new cert, but won't complain because they trust the CA the cert was signed with.
